PACIFIC NORTHWEST FALL COLORS
Pacific Northwest Fall Colors this past fall on Highway 20 from Stevens Pass summit to Leavenworth, Washington. When the trees begin their colorful transition to eye-catching hues, it is time to hit the road. Last year (2021) presented a fantastic display of cascading colors. Numerous areas create a waterfall of a very colorful palette of textures and extraordinary colors.
When you are cruising down the road, it is essential to observe in all directions, as there are numerous hidden gems to be discovered. Capturing a stunning photograph may require off-roading. This particular photograph necessitated some off-roading and a brief hike to achieve the perfect composition.
When you get to the 59er diner , you’re going to want to stop and enjoy lunch, their food is delicious. After your lunch you will want to take a temporary detour to Lake Wenatchee State Park on hwy 207. The area has some great hiking trails filled with brilliant colors and wildlife.
As you continue heading east on Highway 20 toward Leavenworth, you will follow the Wenatchee River. There are numerous spots along Highway 20 where you can pull over to capture a great shot. The Swiftwater Picnic Area features hiking trails, restrooms, and picnic tables.
